How to choose a cooling fan, these points are what you should know...
The cooling fan is an important part of the cabinet cooling system. It controls the temperature in the cabinet and plays a vital role in the safety of the cabinet and prolonging the service life of the equipment.
In the heat dissipation design process of electrical cabinets, the following points are usually considered:
1. The electrical cabinet is usually designed with natural ventilation. When the protection level is lower than that of the main equipment cabinet, don’t forget to add a dust-proof net or filter to the Baiye window.
2. When the protection level of the main equipment cabinet is high, the airtightness of the cabinet should be fully considered when designing.
When the cabinet temperature above ambient temperature, using a cooling fan to cool ( filter fan ) is valid.
Because cold air is heavier than hot air, the air flow in the cabinet is from bottom to top. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the bottom of the front door or side wall of the cabinet should be used as the air inlet, and the upper part should be used as the exhaust.
If the operating environment is better, the air inlet can be equipped with a fan ( axial fan ) . If possible, the air outlet can be equipped with a decorative panel. The air inlet can be equipped with a fan decorative panel outside for safety and beauty.
If the working environment is relatively poor and contains dust, water mist, etc., which affect the normal operation of the components in the control cabinet, choose a fan at the air inlet and install a filter at the air outlet to prevent dust, water vapor, etc. from entering the cabinet .
Finally, the selection of the cooling fan can be selected in the characteristic curve table of the fan according to the difference between the ambient temperature and the temperature in the cabinet and the heat loss in the cabinet.
